Itasca Runners Club
in Itasca, Illinois
The Itasca Runners Clubs was formed in 2005, bringing together local runners with varying abilities and with a common interest in
running. The club has approximately 25 active members. We welcome new recruits or people visiting from out of town who just want to
meet up with a friendly group to run with.
We run on weekday mornings in Itasca as well as an orgainzed group run on Saturday mornings in town. When a big race is coming up,
some of the members will run extra miles and/or mix up the running route (see Group Runs page). The group caters to individuals
who do not run competively up to those who train for marathons. Runners of all levels are welcome!
The Itasca Runners Club is a member of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA, see logo for link) and is a registered 501(c)3
nonprofit organization with the State of Illinois.
The Club now puts on the Oktoberfast 5K race with the proceeds being donated
to deserving charities (see Oktoberfast 5K page for link).
Social events are planned for the entire club and their families. They are well attented. Dinners, picnics and holiday get togethers
have been held and have been a great way for the families & fellow runners to get to know one another.
Another social
event is coming soon!
